Medvedev and Aliyev will meet in Sochi
Today in Sochi, talks between the presidents of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev starts. As reported by Trend referring to RIA Novosti, the two leaders are discussing expansion of bilateral relations, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and international issues.
"Of course, one of the most important issue is the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement. I would like to hold a frank discussion of further steps, how further events will develop in the light of the last meeting in Kazan and of all three previous meetings" - said the Russian leader at a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart.
The Russian president also noted that in recent years much has been done in the development of bilateral relations. "I am referring to the signing of agreements that define the cooperation in the coming years" - said the president.
Recall, Aliyev arrived on an official visit to Russia today, at the personal invitation of President Medvedev.
The heads of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia intend to hold such meetings regularly. The last such meeting was held on June 24 in Kazan.
