Saakashvili: I may be the last president of Georgia, who cites Yesenin
According to the head of the head of Georgian state Mikhail Saakashvili, if the relations between Georgia and Russia continue to evolve in a negative way, then it may happen that the next president of Georgia will not know the Russian language. Young people of different nationalities were took part in a meeting with President of Sakartvelo.
"The current policy of Russia towards Georgia could lead to the fact that the next president will not know the Russian language" - Saakashvili said.
"I've always said, even when the Russian government has talked to me, that maybe I'm one of the last leaders of Georgia, who can quote Yesenin, Pushkin, Lermontov, Vysotsky, Brodsky, and if so continues, the next president will not speak Russian. And this is very bad ..." - Georgian president said.
He also added that, despite all the difficulties in politics, the two nations need to communicate. "Naturally the politics is politics, but such politics, when part of our territory is "occupied", you do not want to have good relations, but the people in any case should not lose each other" - concluded the head of the Georgian state.
