In Yerevan, the opposition had a fight with members of PPS
On the eve in Armenian capital, a clash between the young activists of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) and members of the patrol service in Armenia took place near Swan Lake. As reported by Trend, the incident occurred after the ANC activists stood up for citizens who were examined by the PPS workers. The opposition demanded the law enforcement officers to substantiate their actions.
In response, the PPS workers attacked activists and beat them. This information was made public by "Helsinki Association". Later, the young oppositionists were taken to district police.
In particular, Tigran Arakelyan, Saak Mouradian, Areg Gevorgyan, Sargis Gevorgyan, David Kirimdzhyan and Vahagn Gevorgyan were detained. They argue that as soon as the incident involved the so-called "Red Berets", the Central Police Department can not conduct an objective investigation of all facts and circumstances of the incident.
In this regard, the ANC activists demand that the investigation was conducted by Special Investigation Service.
