Kukava: Georgian prisoners are forced to praise Saakashvili
The leader of the opposition party "Free Georgia" Kakha Kukava said that in many local prisons inmates subjected to beatings, torture and humiliation.
As reported by the "Medianews", as an example Kukava cited several cases from Gldani penal institutions № 8. "Prisoners were forced to sing "Misha is cool" ("Misha Magaril") and if they show little resistance, they are beaten during the day" - said Kukava.
He also noted that many of the prisoners experience powerful psychological pressures, in particular - the son of former Georgian president Zviad Gamsakhurdia - Tsotne Gamsakhurdia.
Kukava also said that as he knows, only this year in Georgia's prisons several dozen people have died in extremely suspicious circumstances.
