Azerbaijan must pay attention to the problems of children
According to Azerbaijani MP Gular Ahmadova, her country must carry out a great job in protecting the rights of children. As reported by Trend, deputy's position was released today to reporters.
"In Azerbaijan, a lot of work to be done to protect children's rights" - said Akhmedova. She explained that today situation with the children's rights in Azerbaijan is far from ideal.
"There is no country in the world where situation is ideal. But we can say that, in comparison with other countries, Azerbaijan is carrying out more things in this sphere" - said Akhmedov.
She explained that the country's authorities should to tackle the problems not only of the children belonging to a particular social group, but also to pay attention to problems of other children.
"The biggest challenge is the fact that our authorities is more interested in the rights of children belonging to a particular social group, and there is much less of those who are interested in rights of others children. There are children who, as it seems at first, have no problem. That is, they have parents and they visit school. But these children also have their problems, however, we were not able to put them to the forefront still" - said Akhmedova.
