The Head of Caucasus Muslims will visit Chechnya
Chairman of Caucasian Muslims Sheikulislam Pashazade said in an interview about his desire to visit Chechnya. This was reported by agency Trend citing the press service of the Office. As explained in the press-service, Muslim spiritual leader will attend the international conference "Place and role of Sufism in Islam" during his visit. It is scheduled for 22 to 24 August this year in the capital of Chechnya - Grozny.
The event is timed to the 60th anniversary of the first Chechen president Akhmad Kadyrov.
Recall, in May this year, the Caucasus Muslim religious leaders adopted an appeal to the United Nations about the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
"Islamic clergy of Caucasus considers unacceptable the use of religious ideas in the political struggle and ethnic conflict, as well as interference in the internal affairs of States, the penetration into the strategic space. Impartiality and fairness of international operations must not cause any suspicion, otherwise it can seriously hurt the reputation of the only organization on a planetary scale since the Second world War. This approach will lead to an objective understanding of the causes of the problems" - was said in circulation.
In this document, Caucasian religious leaders expressed concern at the non-compliance four UN resolutions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict "in light of momentary fulfillment of the recent resolution and implementation of sanctions against a number of Muslim countries" within 20 years. Nothing undermines the credibility of the human as a dual approach, according to religious leaders.
