Georgian companies are preparing to rtveli
The companies "Teliani Vely" and "Badagoni" announced their plans on the number of grapes, which they intend to purchase in the current rtveli season. According to "Business-Georgia", in total they intend to procure 3000 tons of grapes from a new crop. 2000 tons of them will be bought by "Teliani Vely". According to its CEO Shota Hobeliya, if the weather does not hurt to start rtveli, wineries companies will start to harvest the grapes from August 25.
This time "Badagoni" wants to revise the 2200 tons of grapes: it will harvest 1000 tons of grapes from their own vineyards, others will be bought from farmers. However, the company intends to expand and export their products. At the moment the wine "Badagoni" is represented in 15 countries, mostly - in Europe. In addition, this year up to 12 000 bottles were exported to Japan and 15 000 - to China.
As CEO Gia Shengelia told in an interview, starting next year, "Badagoni" intend to export their wines to countries in Africa, India, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
