Tbilisi and Kiev are simplifying customs procedures
Georgian and Ukrainian customs officers have developed a joint work plan for 2012. As reported by Trend, the appropriate document was signed in office of economic zone Lilo today. It was signed by representatives of the Revenue Service of the Georgian Ministry of Finance and employees of Ukrainian Customs Service.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of the Georgian-Ukrainian Business Club and the Chamber of Commerce of Georgia.
As the head of the Service Revenue Georgia Jaba Ebanoidze explained in an interview, improving the legal framework in the field of customs and exchange of experience between the two countries will be provided within this memorandum.
"Plan of cooperation was signed, under which customs procedures for Georgian and Ukrainian businessmen will be simplified" - said Ebanoidze.
In turn, as noted by the head of the Ukrainian Customs Service Igor Kaletnik, Georgia has made significant progress in the customs area. Familiarity with this experience will be useful for Ukraine, he said.
