"Free Georgia" hopes for Ankvab
Georgian opposition leaders representatives of "Free Georgia" sent an appeal to the President-of Abkhazia Ankvab. As reported by Trend, in this appeal, they congratulate Ankvab with election and expressed confidence that his work in office will start searching for ways to settle the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict.
According to the political secretary of the party Tengiz Omanidze, its members are hoping that this moment will become a turning point in relations between the two nations to overcome their enmity.
It's in the interest of both the Georgian and Abkhaz sides, that the conflict ends and making effective steps for the peaceful resolution of existing conflicts, stressed the opposition.
"Free Georgia" stands for the fact that the sides of to the conflict have committed themselves to non-resumption of fire, he added.
"We stand for the conflict resolved peacefully. The manifest Saguramo of 2008, which was fixed by the will of the founders of the organization for the peaceful resolution of the conflict, is a proof of this - said Omanidze. He added that a military solution of the conflict is completely unacceptable.
"Free Georgia" is ready to take part in all processes aimed at a peaceful settlement. The party takes all attempts to achieve this goal" - stated the opposition party in the widespread circulation.
