State Duma asked Onishchenko return Georgian wine to Russia
According to information released today by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Gennady Onishchenko in an interview to "Russian News Service", Deputies of the Russian Duma appealed to him to return Georgian wine to Russia.
"We were asked through our State Duma by a number of deputies; quite comprehensible normal people came to us, they sayid: -Well, how can that be? We want it. -Well, who objects?- we said. I neither need you, nor the MPs, I want to see the people who will grow grapes, to produce wine and ready to deliver it here. I told them once again that we will check them when such people come" - "Georgia-News" quoted interview of Onishchenko to "RSN".
"We'll go to place and we'll watch the wine production technology, this production will be registered as a new for Russia. And then they will supply us with production under control. But until such we haven't got such appeals by the Georgian businesses. And I roughly know why. Not because they do not want to trade, but because every my statement is immediately followed by a very strange reaction of the leadership of this country. They say, "Do not go to Russia, they will deceive you'"- Onishchenko said.
"We'll will work with business people. If they comply with our Russian national requirements, we will let them work" - concluded the head of Rospotrebnadzor.
Recall, on the eve it was reported that currently Rospotrebnadzor is studying the request from the company "IDS Borjomi Beveragies Co. NV" on the supply of mineral water "Borjomi" to the Russian market.
"Next week we expect a meeting of Rospotrebnadzor specialists with representatives of the company" IDS Borjomi Beveragies Co. NV ", in which the company will provide information on measures taken to ensure the safety and quality of mineral water "Borjomi" in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union" - stated in a department's statement.
