Georgia has appointed the first ambassador to South Korea
Georgian diplomat Nikoloz Apkhazava became the first Georgia's ambassador to South Korea. As reported by agency Trend referring to the chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign relations Akaki Minashvili, Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili has already presented the candidature of Ambassador for approval to parliament. This information Minashvili announced at the meeting of the Bureau of Parliament today. Currently Apkhazava is working the senior adviser Georgian Embassy in Japan, he said.
"The area of our diplomatic mission is being expanded. Relations with South Korea are very important, especially from an economic point of view, since there is a great chance and the prospect of attracting investments" - concluded the head of the parliamentary committee on foreign relations.
