The President of Georgia is invited to the summit of the Eastern Partnership
Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili is invited to the summit of the Eastern Partnership which will be held in late September in Warsaw, Poland.
As reported by News.am, Saakashvili received an invitation to the summit from the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the visit of President of Georgia to this European country. Recall, this trip is associated with participation of Mikhail Saakashvili in the XXI World Economic Forum, held in the Polish city of Krynica.
Earlier during his visit to Poland, Mikhail Saakashvili has promised his fellow citizens that this fall a major breakthrough in relations between Tbilisi and the EU will happen.
"This fall will be European as never for Georgia: I suppose, a major breakthrough in terms of European integration will happen in September or October and till end of the year. Therefore, I accepted an invitation from our friend, Prime Minister Donald Tusk to come here to discuss joint actions in this direction in advance" - Saakashvili said, noting that "Poland helps us very much and it's not surprisingly".
