Expert: South Caucasus will split
Well-known Russian political analyst Grigory Trofimchuk has predicted global changes in the South Caucasus region.
As reported by "Novosti-Azerbaijan", the expert believes that the countries of the regions will finally choose different policy vectors soon. "The South Caucasus will split soon: Georgia goes to the West, while Armenia and Azerbaijan (forgetting about the Karabakh contradictions) will be forced to act in the same camp, if they don't want to disappear off the map at all, as it often happens after all the world wars" - said Trofimchuk.
He added that Baku and Yerevan have to work with Moscow more closely. "They should gether with Russia in the trilateral format - but not to think of Karabakh again under the cool flags, but to prevent more dangerous process, which have already covered them from the outside. The only chance of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia is to get out of the rigid frame of another script - beforehand, while they still have not touched anybody seriously and individually and to develop tactics of joint actions" - believes the analyst.
