Georgian ambassadors were tasked to develop a peaceful environment
According to information released today by the head of the Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, Georgian ambassadors participating in the traditional annual "ambasadoriale" - a meeting of the heads of diplomatic missions - have received an original task from members of the Georgian government, and now intend to present their initiatives. As reported by "Georgia-News", today the government will listen to the ambassadors, who will report on their tasks, as well as talk about their work plans for the near future.
"The priority tasks and objectives is to create a safe and peaceful environment for Georgia in order that the country continued democratic and economic development" - Vashadze commented on the tasks given to ambassadors. One of the main priorities of Georgia's foreign policy is regional cooperation, he said. "Fortunately, Georgia does not have problems with its neighbors except Russia, which need to be resolved" - said the Minister of Foreign Affairs. No less important for Sakartvelo is integration into NATO and the EU, as well as foreign investment.
"2012 will be difficult for Georgia since we should solve big problems" - said Vashadze. He added that Georgian diplomats now have to work twice as harder.
