TV "Trialeti" says of the pressure from the authorities
The leadership of the Georgian TV-channel "Trialeti" has made a special statement. As reported by the "GHN", the document claimed that the head of the National Communications Commission of Georgia Irakli Chikovani is threatening TV-channel with a "street clash".
Recently, the relationship between the Commission and broadcasters are deteriorating day by day. This time, the Commissioner's discontent was caused by the requirement to update the license, "as it happened in the case of a friend and business partner of Commission chairman of the the company "Rustavi 2" - Gegeshidze.
As was said in the statement "Trialeti", the TV director Johny Nanetashvili was called to the chairman of the commission, who began to threaten him: "Who you think you are to write such letters? I'll close the door and I will show you a street disassembly! You should know that you will lose a lot because of this letter".
"We do not know what did Chikovani mean but every day we feel that because of the pressure from the National Communications Commission there is a threat to broadcast television and radio company "Trialeti" - said in a statement of broadcaster.
However, TV broadcasters intend to continue demanding the change the frequency of broadcast television. Moreover, they require documentary answer for all their questions.
