"The National Assembly of Georgia" reborns
The opposition movement "The National Assembly of Georgia" is ready to resume their protest activities and the struggle against the current government of the republic.
As reported by VZGLIAD, one of the members of the "National Assembly" Irakli Batiashvili told journalists that the Georgian government is not able to disrupt the work of movement.
He also added that the "National Assembly" is to take part in a protest march which is organized by "National Forum" on September 27. "People understand that we really oppose the authoritarian regime" - said Irakli Batiashvili.
Recall, at the end of May the "National Assembly" had organized massive protests in the streets of Georgian towns. On the night of May 26, the leaders of the movement led by Nino Burjanadze refused to finish the rally in Tbilisi which, according to city government, was authorized till 00:00 pm on May 26. After this time, the Georgian special forces troops dispersed the demonstration using water cannons and tear gas.
