In the Azerbaijani capital, the opening ceremony of the Baku office of the Azerbaijani-Austrian Chamber of Commerce (ATAZ) will be held today. This was reported by agency Trend, referring to the executive director of the Baku office ATAZ Tural Bagirzade.
"Previously, the office passed the state registration. The main task of the office is to promote cooperation in the humanitarian, economic and cultural spheres. We hope that the activities of our office will promote the growth of direct investment between the two countries" - he explained in an interview.
Mostly, the office will support the country's non-oil sector, Information and Communication Technologies sector, waste management, development of alternative energy sources, as well as information exchange and joint projects, added Bagirzade.
According to him, until the end of the year it is expected to launch several projects in the cultural, humanitarian and economic fields. "They will promote the involvement of Austrian companies in participation in various tenders in Azerbaijan, increased investment, both direct and mixed" - the official added.
