Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia: Russia's WTO accession depends on the progress of negotiations
As Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze stated at the traditional weekly press briefing, Russia's accession to the WTO depends on how it would conduct the negotiations on this issue.
"Russia's accession depends on how it will conduct the negotiations which are carried out on the subject and how constructive they will be. Although, it should be noted that this organization has the ability to make Russia to be a civilized player" - the "GHN" quoted Kalandadze's words.
The Deputy Minister also stressed that the main demand of Georgia is connected with the transparency of cargos passing through the Russian-Georgian border. According to the Georgian side, monitoring the passage of these cargos should be carried out by international experts, added the official. Authorities of Sakartvelo did not specify the details of such monitorings.
