In Moscow, another Georgian "thief in law" was arrested
Employees of the Russian police have detained the Georgian criminal authority "Mamuka Gallskiy" in Moscow. As reported by the "GHN" referring to RIA Novosti, he was detained with drugs and a forged passport.
As the press service of the Main Department of the Russian Interior Ministry in the Central Federal District explained in an interview, Georgia's "kingpin" Mamuka Chkadua was arrested last weekend at the Sailor Zheleznyak Boulevard in Moscow. The detainee was born in 1974. "During personal search it appeared that Chkadua had got a forged passport in the name of a Russian citizen Alexander Malyganova and hashish" - said to reporters in law enforcement. A criminal case was instituted against him.
According to investigators, Chkadua was controlling the income of metropolitan and regional gangs which were committing burglary, and pickpockets.
"Currently, the complex of operational and investigative measures to establish additional episodes of criminal activity of Chkadua is being carried out, he was detained" - added in the press-service to journalists.
