Georgia will be presented very good at the UN General Assembly
As Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze reported today during traditional weekly briefing, the Georgian delegation, wich will attend the UN General Assembly, will be represented in large-scale.
The composition of this delegation will let Georgia to deepen and expand diplomatic relations with the countries of the UN, according to Georgian officials.
"The 66th UN General Assembly will be held on October 19-23. I remind that Georgia's President Mikhail Saakashvili addressed to the world leaders during the Assembly. The Foreign Ministry delegation will be rather impressive at this session in order to further deepen and expand relations with the countries the UN members. The president and members of the delegation have planned many meetings during the session" - the "GHN" quoted Kalandadze's words.
On September 20, according to the Deputy Minister, the grand opening of the Initiative of Open Government Partnership will be held.
"The initiators of the idea of Open Government Partnership are Barack Obama and President of Brazil, and it implies an assembly of democratic states under one umbrella. Georgia has received an invitation to participate in this initiative which Georgia had officially joined last week" - explained Kalandadze.
