Federal Service: The Georgian businesses should stop playing at giveaway
According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Gennady Onishchenko, Georgia should stop playing at giveaway and the Georgian business must prove its desire to resume exports to Russia of mineral water and wine by actual deeds. As the reported by the "GHN", Russia's chief sanitary doctor announced such position in an interview to "Interfax". According to Onishchenko, the Georgian business only declares its readiness to resume the supply but does not dare to pass all the technical procedures necessary for admission to the Russian market.
"We are trying to negotiate with three companies who nominate themselves as exclusive suppliers. We have already met with the two of them and we have reminded them about the conditions under which all the procedures (to return to the Russian market) can be completed" - said Onishchenko. "But so far we do not see their steps for submission technical documentation" - he said, talking of the supply of mineral water.
A similar situation, he said, is about supply of Georgian wine. "It is desirable to stop the game at giveaway. If they want, let them come into our market. It should be understood that the conditions are very harsh" - said the head of Rospotrebnadzor. He added that the Georgian business must understand that Russia will survive without "Borjomi" and Georgian wine. "We don't have special needs for this" - concluded Onishchenko.
