Sakartvelo has established diplomatic relations with Malawi and Gabon
According to information released today by in the air of "Rustavi 2" by the Permanent Representative of Georgia to the UN Alexander Lomaia, Georgia has established diplomatic relations with the two African countries - Malawi and Gabon. "The signed protocols imply mutual respect of territorial integrity and independence and the development of bilateral relations between countries" - "Georgia-News" quoted statement of Lomaia.
From the Georgian side, the agreement on establishing diplomatic relations with the Republic of Gabon was signed by the head of the Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze during his visit to the United States. The document on establishing diplomatic relations between Sakartvelo and the Republic of Malawi was signed by Lomaia.
Lomaia has previously reported that of 193 countries members of the UN, Georgia has established diplomatic relations with 160 countries. According to him, over the past two years they have established diplomatic relations with 38 countries and now are continuing to work in this direction.
