Obama and Saakashvili met "without ties"
In the U.S., a meeting of Barack Obama with Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili took place. As reported by agency Trend with reference to a message, announced by administration of the President of Georgia, the meeting was informal. It was held within the lunch, organized by the UN Secretary-General in New York, in honor to the opening of 66th session of the UN General Assembly. It has become a tradition that this event is attended by leaders of the states.
"The meeting took place in an informal atmosphere and the parties could discuss the questions they are interested" - said in the Georgian administration. The meeting was held in a "friendly environment".
Recall, the President of Georgia went to the U.S. several days ago to attend the 66th session of the UN General Assembly. Saakashvili is heading his country's delegation which includes senior officials.
