Azerbaijani Foreign Minister discussed the Nagorno Karabakh problem in the U.S.
The head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov, participating in the 66th UN General Assembly session in New York, held a series of bilateral meetings. As reported by Trend, the minister, in particular, has met with the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Dervis Eroglu, the Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Tuvalu Willy Telavi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Great Britain Lord Howell and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Nikolay Mladenov.
In addition, he met with the EU Special Representative for South Caucasus Philippe Lefort, as well as Secretary General of the League of Arab States Nabil al-Arabi.
As the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained in an interview, at these meetings, in addition to bilateral relations, they have discussed the issues of settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Also, they have discussed prospects of cooperation of Azerbaijan with the above-mentioned countries in economic and energy spheres.
