In Baku, a meeting of the Committee on cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan is held
Today in the Azerbaijani capital, the 12th meeting of the Committee on cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan is held. As Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev noted in an interview, at the meeting Azerbaijan and the European Union will discuss the results of cooperation over the past year.
"This Committee is an important tool in cooperation with the EU. At the Committee meeting, which takes place every year, we are reviewing the work undertaken since the last meeting" - the agency Trend quoted official's words. The agenda of the meeting includes all aspects of possible cooperation.
The head of the Department on "Eastern Partnership" of the Single EU foreign service Gunnar Wiegand, a meeting agenda includes political, economic and infrastructural issues.
Among them - the simplification of visa regime, negotiations in frameworks of the Association Agreement, the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP), the action plan within the ENP, signed in November 2006 in Brussels and the issues of energy, trade and human rights. In addition, the discussion will concern the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.
