Permanent Representative of Georgia to UN: Saakashvili's speech is very significantly!
Permanent Representative of Georgia to the UN General Assembly Alexander Lomaia considers that the current speech of the State of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili is important. As reported by "Georgia-News", according to Lomaia, this speech is significant in terms of "binding" national issues to global issues.
"The most important in these speeches is the linking the national issues to regional and global issues. The president has achieved this in his speech" - said Lomaia in an interview in New York. Among such "linked" issues Lomaia called freedom, development, fighting corruption, democratization and economic reform.
Recall, in his speech to the UN, Mikhail Saakashvili had stressed the significance of the global challenges of terrorism, extremism, Russian politics and reforms carried out in Georgia. 10 years after the tragedy of September 11 and 20 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the world remains "a battlefield," said the head of the Georgian state.
In his speech to the UN, Saakashvili said that Georgia had refused the force restoration of territorial integrity of the country and is still waiting for retaliatory steps from Russia.
