Georgia intensifies contacts with the countries of Oceania
This week, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze intends to visit Australia, New Zealand and the Republic of Fiji. As reported by "Georgia-News" referring to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Vashadze headed Georgian delegation.
As Georgian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs David Jalagania explained in an interview with reporters at a special briefing, the delegation's visit will continue until October 6. According to Jalagania, he will hold meetings with his counterparts - the foreign ministers of those countries.
"This is the first visit of Georgian delegation to Oceania. As expected, at meetings they will discuss expansion of relations, as well as the basis for establishing relations between these countries and Georgia" - said Jalagania. He also added that soon they expect establishment of Georgian Ambassy in Australian Canberra. "This will give us the opportunity to enhance the foreign policy of Georgia and Oceania" - said the Georgian official.
