"Georgian Party" is preparing a lawsuit against the Ministry of Economy
Representatives of the opposition "Georgian Party" claim that they have prepared the lawsuit against the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. According to "Georgia-News", the lawsuit related to the transfer of the Tbilisi television tower in possession of a private company.
As the spokesman of the opposition party Irakli Kordzaya explained to reporters during a special briefing, after the announcement of the electronic auction, which took place this August, "Georgian Party" addressed an open letter to the leadership of Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development with demand to disclose all details of the transaction.
"The ministry has hidden this information, but today the time, stipulated by law to provide public information, is over. With this in mind "Georgian Party" is preparing a lawsuit against the Ministry of Economy, which will be submitted to the court in the coming days" - said Kordzaya.
In response, the Economy Ministry explained that the Tbilisi television tower was not sold. After all, "Alfa-com", which is owner of assets including TV tower, was transferred under the management of the company "Golden-com" only for four years. The right to control "Alpha-com" was sold for 110 000 GEL. Georgian state owns 100-percent interest of "Alpha-com".
Under the terms of the August competition, the new investor is required to maintain the profile of the company and to invest $ 12 million over four years, as well as implement a technical re-transmission towers.
