Bakradze begins his tour of Europe
This morning the head of Georgian Parliament David Bakradze went on a visit to Warsaw. As reported by Trend, in the Polish capital he wants to attend the conference as part of the EU "Eastern Partnership". The conference's theme - "The Path to European democratic society, prosperity and a strong civil society".
Georgia attaches great importance to partnership with the EU and aims to become part of united Europe as soon as possible, Bakradze said in an interview before the trip. "In this way, we still have much to do, and our government is taking all steps for the rapid European integration" - he added.
He also recalled that on October 1, this year, he plans to visit Sweden. The conference on "EU Eastern Neighbourhood - the transition from authoritarianism to democracy" is being prepared there. As expected, Bakradze will participate in the discussion "What the EU can and should make".
Bakradze also intends to visit the UK. In this country, he'll visit the Congress of the Conservative Party, where he was invited by its leaders.
