In Warsaw, summit of "Eastern Partnership" opens
Today in Warsaw city a two-day summit of the EU "Eastern Partnership" begins. Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili is among the other participants in the summit. As Trend reported referring to the administration of the President of Georgia, the summit of "Eastern Partnership" is attended by the leaders of the program participants - Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Ukraine, as well as the EU leaders and several EU countries.
According to the press-speaker of Georgian President Manana Manjgaladze, at the summit, Saakashvili will meet with the EU High Commissioner for Foreign Policy Catherine Ashton.
At the summit they will also discuss regional security issues, as well as adoption of a joint communique, as was planed earlier, explained spokesperson. "We also have the opportunity to present 27 EU states member and five states members of the "Eastern Partnership" our views, priorities and initiatives that will make us closer to the EU" - added Manjgaladze.
