Georgian media sent Nurgaliev to to Tskhinval
Georgian media claims that Russian Foreign Minister Rashid Nurgaliev went to the South Ossetian capital Tskhinval in connection with past unrest.
Recall, September 30, about two hundred supporters of the head coach of Russia in freestyle wrestling Dzambolat Tedeyev attacked the building of the Central Executive Committee of South Ossetia, whose members were to consider the possibility of registering Tedeyev as a candidate for president of the republic. The crowd was forced back from the building by law enforcement officials and representatives of the Central Election Commission denied to register Tedeyev in connection with a breach of residency qualification.
Tedeyev said later that his house was cordoned off by riot police and SWAT. However, this information did not find official confirmation.
As reported by "Rosbalt", Georgian media began to spread reports that the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Rashid Nurgaliyev left for Tskhinval for the control of the situation in the republic. But there is still no evidence of visits of Russian Minister in Tskhinval. A possible Nurgaliyev's visit to South Ossetia wasn't confirmed either by Russian media or the department which he heads.
Recall, the presidential elections in South Ossetia are scheduled for November 13, 2011.
