Catherine Kotrikadze became CEO of the "PIC"
Georgian journalist, co-owner of "Kei 1" and manager of TV-channel Catherine Kotrikadze became the head of TV-channel "The first Information Caucasian" (PIC). As reported by "Georgia-News", she became general director of the channel due to the fact that former head of the channel and the second co-owner of "Kei 1" Robert Parsons returned to work at the channel "France 24".
"I have job in France," France 24 ". They had treated me well, when agreed to let me go here. Leaving them, I promised that I would return. Eighteen months later I'm leaving" - said Parsons in an interview. He also said that despite the fact that "PIC" is being funded from government sources, the channel is completely independent media.
"There were instances when government officials were angry, but nobody came to me and nobody called, nobody said that I was doing something different" - said Parsons.
He also expressed his concern that "if later "PIC's" Council won't include international experts, there is a danger that the credibility of the channel will decrease".
