Businessman Ivanishvili is preparing for elections
Well-known Georgian businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili intends to establish a new political party. As reported by Trend, he creates it in order to participate in parliamentary elections in Georgia in 2012.
"I decided to create a party to take part in the parliamentary elections in 2012" - said in tycoon's statement. Today, this document was circulated by press service of Kartu Group, owned by a businessman.
A month earlier, Ivanishvili issued a statement with direct criticism of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and his reform of the electoral system of the country.
And in late September this year, it became known that Russian businessman of Georgian origin Levan Vasadze is going to participate in presidential election race in Georgia in 2013. "We all see what results "Rose Revolution", organized by the efforts of Soros and Shevardnadze, brought. We can just say that what Shevardnadze could not destroy over the decades, his successors appeared able to do for several years. Our authorities are so impertinent, that started to present churches to our historical enemies" - journalists quoted businessman's words. Vasadze, however, did not elaborate who is meant by these "historical enemies".
He added that he still has not made a final decision about participation in elections, however, "when he sees a humiliated country he has no other choice".
"I should lead my Orthodox people" - said Vasadze in an interview. According to him, otherwise, his country will lose "homeland, language and faith", that survived for centuries
Prior to this, Vasadze performed with denials about his possible involvement in the political life of Sakartvelo.
According to media reports, starting from mid-1990s, 41-year-old businessman has been living and working in Moscow, has Russian citizenship and refused from Georgian.
During 1990-2000, he held senior positions in major Russian financial structures. And in 2006, he was named "Manager of the Year in insurance".
