Kukava: Bidzina Ivanishvili is Monte Cristo
Well-known Georgian oppositionist Kakha Kukava believes that if influential businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili enters politics it can be a serious blow to the current government of the republic.
As reported by Gazeta.ru, Kukava stressed that information about possible Ivanishvili's plans is still known only for himself and his inner circle. "Ivanishvili is just like Monte Cristo. He did not tell about his plans, his team and his program yet - it's impossible to say something concrete about him" - said Kukava, adding that Ivanishvili's movement will show sufficiently serious resistance to the regime of Mikhail Saakashvili.
Recall, the famous Georgian businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili announced his intention to create a new political party. In his plans - participation of his movement in parliamentary elections in Georgia in 2012.
"I decided to create a party to take part in the parliamentary elections in 2012" - said in tycoon's statement. Today, this document was circulated by press service of Kartu Group, owned by a businessman.
A month earlier, Ivanishvili issued a statement with direct criticism of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and his reform of the electoral system of the country.
Note also that Georgian expert Georgy Khukhashvili said that businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili's decision to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections could become "a serious factor in Georgian politics".
"I abstain from the final assessment, but proceeding from the Georgian reality, Ivanishvili's decision can become a serious factor in Georgian politics. We can say that he will deliver the political situation on its head" - said Khukhashvili.
"Ivanishvili has financial resources, but there are questions since he never participated in public policy, and it is important to carry out good policy" - said expert, adding that, in general, he approves the decision of the businessman.
