Sakartvelo intends to give Russia an account
According to the information published on the eve by the chairman of parliamentary commission to restore the territorial integrity of Georgia Shota Malashkhia, Georgian parliamentarians intend to demand from the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development to calculate the damage "caused" by Russian occupation "and to demand compensation from Russia, which is the successor of the Soviet Union". As reported by Trend, Malashkhia told this at the commission meeting.
He added that Parliament's requirement will be sent to the Ministry of Economy in the coming days. After that Georgian authorities together with those states which have similar claims is going to demand appropriate compensation from Russia.
According to the Georgian parliamentarian, Baltic countries, as well as Romania, Moldova, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Poland already gave Russia similar "account". Georgia also plans to address this issue at the international level, concluded Malashkhia.
