The fate of the negotiations on Russia's WTO accession is unclear
According to information announced by the first deputy head of Georgian Foreign Minister Nikoloz Vashakidze at today's traditional briefing with journalists, question on the continuation of negotiations between Georgia and Russia on Russia's WTO accession is still open. As reported by the GHN, an official comment on the matter will be given later - after the return of the head of the Georgian delegation from the 17th round of Geneva talks, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Kapandze, explained Vashakidze.
"The 17th round of talks is finished. This round, like the previous one, ended without result because of non-constructive position of the Russian side", said Vashakidze.
Russia has refused "to fulfil the minimum that is required for entry into the WTO", he commented.
