Somali pirates have seized another 12 sailors from Sakartvelo
Another "portion" of Georgian sailors was captured by Somali pirates. As reported by Trend, 12 citizens of Sakartvelo were seized by Somali pirates at a vessel owned by the Ship management Bhatia. The vessel floated under Marshall Islands flag, it was seized by pirates off the coast of Nigeria a few days ago.
On the board, there were also citizens of other countries, the owners of the Ship management Bhatia explained in an interview. The sailors are all right, they have a contact with the pirates, the company added. Currently, they are negotiating on the possible release of trapped sailors and the vessel.
It is worth mentioning that 15 sailors from Georgia are still captive by Somali pirates for more than a year. All negotiations for their release were fruitless.
