Burjanadze: Sarkozy hasn't even heard "goodbye" from Tbilisi
Well-known Georgian opposition leader Nino Burjanadze said that French President Nicolas Sarkozy's visit has been so successful for the republic's authorities as they tried to present it.
According to VZGLIAD, Burjanadze stressed that Sarkozy expressed support for Saakashvili only in public. "But in his palace, he heard such words from Nicolas Sarkozy, after which noone gave a send-off", said ex-speaker of Georgian parliament.
Burjanadze also drew attention to the fact that noone accompanied French President Nicolas Sarkozy at the airport of Tbilisi.
It should be noted that during his visit to Tbilisi, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said that Georgia is on the European path of development.
"I came here to convince you that France, as well as yesterday, will be next to you and we'll bring you closer to Europe. France is not only yesterday's friend, we are best friend forever", Sarkozy told the gathering at the central area of the Georgian capital.
