"New Rights": We don't need anybody!
Representatives of Georgian opposition "New Rights" expressed their reaction to the morning's statement by the businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili. As reported by "Georgia-News", one of the leaders of the party Mamuka Katsitadze said that his party is not going to enter with anyone in any block.
"We're not going to cooperate with anyone. A year ago we made a statement that we are not going to enter the unit with any party. Ivanishvili named partners and in the letter named the favorites starting from Merabishvili and ending the opposition, and I wish him success", Katsitadze said.
Earlier today Ivanishvili accused a number of Georgian opposition parties that they are "pseudo-opposition". These are: the Christian Democrats, Labour Party, "New Rights", the NDP, the "Georgian Party", Tortladzes and Davitaia'a parties. Moreover, according to Ivanishvili, thanks to them the Georgian authorities can make an image of democracy. The billionaire announced this position in his statement today.
"I can not work with pseudo-opposition parties who are in collusion and relationships with the authorities and which act according to their instructions and orders. I think that pseudo-opposition parties are the most disruptive and they hinder democratic development of the country which seem to us the most reliable ally and authorities' partner at the decisive moment. In fact, Saakashvili's authority rests on the shoulders of these pseudo-opposition forces - those forces create a background of democracy for Saakashvili and rest of the world and in fact they are, through the pseudo-oppositional work, creating a multi-party parliament image to the one-party parliament", said Ivanishvili.
According to him, they provide a split and discord in any undertaking of truely opposition forces, they neutralize and alter the mood of the people.
"I do not hesitate to name them and I openly declare that I will not be able to cooperate with the Christian Democrats, Labour Party,"New Rights", the NDP, the "Georgian Party", Tortladze's and Davitaia's parties", added Ivanishvili.
