Georgian forest resorts are interesting for tourists
Starting from January 2011, Georgian forest resorts were visited by 274239 tourists. Among them - 48768 of foreign visitors. As reported by "Georgia-News", such data was published the day before by Georgia's Agency for Protected Areas. They added that the greatest interest in such places was shown by visitors from such countries as Israel, Germany, the USA, Holland and Turkey. The resort bussiness brings Georgia up to 388341 GEL.
The tourists enjoy the Mgvime forest resort complex in Imereti in western Georgia most of all. During this period it was visited by 137257 guests and the Kazbegi National Park was visited by 34774 people.
The agency recalled that according to data for 2010, Georgian forest resorts were visited by 152512 people; in 2009 - 98482 people' in 2008 - 53419 visitors and in 2007 - 24222 people.
