Baghaturia demands to establish a commission on the facts of dispersal of rallies
Jondi Baghaturia, who is the leader of the opposition faction "Kartuli Dasi" in the Georgian Parliament, demanded to establish a special commission of inquiry to examine the facts of dispersal of several demonstrations and protests that took place in Georgia recently. As reported by the GHN, as an example Baghaturia leads the fact of dispersal a rally in central Tbilisi on May 26 this year, the situation with the TV channel "Imedi" and the facts of pressure on the Georgian journalists. Baghaturia spoke with this initiative at today's plenary session of Parliament.
"Unfortunately, the minority, and as it is not surprising, "Christian-Democrats", refused to sign under the requirement to establish an interim investigatory commission. Now we have a faction in parliament and nothing prevents the raising the question of the establishment of a commission", said Baghaturia during his speech.
He added that at the next meeting of the faction, which is scheduled for next Friday, he is going to get more information on the events of May 26 and on the fact of the invasion to TV channel "Imedi".
