Saakashvili again accused the opposition in relations with the Kremlin
According to Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, opposition politicians Irakli Okruashvili and Nino Burjanadze are conducting pro-Russian policy, moreover, they are affected by the Kremlin. As reported by "Georgia-News", Saakashvili stated this position in an interview to the Czech media.
"It is difficult to speak about them as people with pro-Western orientation. They have a payroll of Moscow. 70 percent of Georgians support the policy of current authorities. We are more popular than after the events of 2008. They had great expectations, and now this popularity is not so under the influence of euphoria. It is stronger because of the results we have achieved", said Mikhail Saakashvili.
"Seven years ago, 98 percent of Georgians said that the biggest problem was corruption. Now it amounts 0.2 percent, and this is an incredible success. Corruption is gone, but we are democracy. People from time to time are displeased, they change their opinion. But important thing is that most of people are on our side because we believe in the same principles and laws", Saakashvili said.
