Saakashvili expressed condolences to relatives of Ramaz Chkhikvadze
Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili expressed his condolences to family and friends of famous Georgian film and theater actor Ramaz Chkhikvadze, who died the day before. This was reported by "Georgia-News" referring to the presidential press service of the state.
"I express deep condolences on the passing of great Georgian actor and creative personality Ramaz Chkhikvadze. He was a great actor, a bright star and creator of an era in theater and movie", noted the president in a letter.
Cultural heritage created by the actor, which have grown for generations, "will forever remain in the memory of the viewer", said Saakashvili in the statement.
Recall, People's Artist of Georgia Ramaz Chkhikvadze died at the age of 83 after a long illness. According to Chkhikvadze's relatives, he will be buried in Didube Pantheon, next to his wife who died two months ago - Natasha Chkhikvadze.
It is worth mentioning that Honored and People's Artist of Georgia Ramaz Chkhikvadze was recognized as one of the best performers of theater roles based on Shakespeare olays in Tbilisi Rustaveli Theatre. He was also filming in a movie a lot. And not just in the movies of the Soviet period but also in modern Georgian films.
