Georgian Public Broadcasting is ready to broadcast the speech of Ivanishvili
Today, Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) has released a statement saying that TV channel is ready to provide live press conference with Georgian billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili.
"The Public Broadcasting is ready to provide live broadcast of a press conference with Ivanishvili if it will take place and representatives of all media will be able to ask questions during the press conference and this time he (Ivanishvili) will not act on the principle of selection", "Georgia-News" quoted the GPB's statement.
The Public Broadcasting upholds the first offer to Ivanishvili and again invited him to participate in political talk show, the document continues.
However, the press service of Ivanishvili still did not react to this offer of the public broadcaster.
Recall a few weeks ago Ivanishvili made some significant statements. He expressed his willingness to abandon Russian and French citizenship for participation in the political life of Georgia. Ivanishvili also said he would sell about a third of his business located in Russia untill the parliamentary elections in Georgia, scheduled for 2012.
As Ivanishvili said in a statement, he intends to prevent a total monopolization of power by current president Mikhail Saakashvili, who, according to the oligarch, "made and continues to make so many big and small unforgivable mistakes that any intelligent politician would gone into retirement and apologized to the people".
Bidzina Ivanishvili also said that the movement which he created is ready for "absolute victory" in the parliamentary elections what would allow a large-scale reform and significantly improvement of Georgian position on the international scene.
