Somali pirates have unveiled photos of their hostages
Today, information about Georgian citizens captured more than a year ago by Somali pirates was unveiled. As reported by the GHN, today pirates unveiled photographs of sailors, captured by them 410 days ago. It is expected that these pictures you can see 15 Georgians and three Turkish citizens next to the armed pirates. However, due to poor quality of photos they were able to identify only one citizen of Georgia for sure - Irakli Dzhikidzi from Batumi. However, judging by the photos, the sailors are still alive. Nevertheless, it is not clear exactly when the picture were made.
Along with these photographs pirates have announced a new demand: they now require $ 9 million for the release of hostages.
It is worth mentioning that during more than a year 15 sailors from Georgia have been in captive by Somali pirates. All negotiations for their release were unsuccessful so far.
