Russia and Georgia discuss the WTO again
Today in Geneva (Switzerland), the next round of Georgian-Russian negotiations on the accession of Russia to the WTO will be held. As reported by Trend referring to the Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze, by tradition, at the talks, Georgian delegation is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergi Kapanadze.
Kalandadze recalled that the previous round of negotiations, which took place on October 20, ended in vain. According to her, it happened because of Russia's disagreement about the transparency of economic borders of Georgia with Abkhazia and South Ossetian.
"Georgia is ready to agree to Russia's membership in the WTO only in case of placement of international observers at these borders, but Moscow did not agree to it. Well, we'll wait until they agree", explained Kalandadze.
