Berlin and Tbilisi strengthen their relations by a new document
Today, in the Georgian capital Georgia and Germany are preparing to sign a cooperation agreement. As reported by the GHN, this document will govern the relationship between the two countries in the financial sector. As expected, the signing ceremony will be held at the Georgian Ministry of Finance.
On the part of Sakartvelo document will be signed by the head of the finance department of Georgia Dmitry Gvindadze, and on the part of Germany - Ambassador of the German Federal Republic to Georgia Ortvin Hoenig.
Recall, in the beginning of this October, Hoenig said about the need to start a direct dialogue between official Tbilisi, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
"Together with partners from the EU and NATO, we are trying to make Tbilisi to establish open dialogue with the de facto authorities of Abkhazia and South Ossetia", noted the diplomat in an interview. According to him, the principles of public diplomacy could help establish links between Georgia and the two republics.
Hoenig also added that Germany is committed to the principal of recognizing the "territorial integrity" of Georgia.
