Gilauri: Economic growth in Sakartvelo continues
According to the Prime Minister of Georgia Nikoloz Gilauri, amid poor global economy and reduced growth forecasts in many countries, in Georgia macroeconomic indicators remain stable. Moreover, economic growth continues, and it attracts more and more foreign investors. According to Trend, Gilauri announced such information at the 14th conference of the Georgian-American Business Council. The event was attended by the Ambassador of the United States in Sakartvelo John Bass.
Such conferences and meetings contribute to the increasing interest of American business to Georgia and attract investment, said Gilauri in his speech.
"The companies, which have American business partners who have specific trade relations with the United States, come here. Accordingly, this companies have interest to America. In today's situation, when the world economy is in poor condition, it is very important that Georgia retains a stable macroeconomic indicators and attract international investment", said Gilauri.
"We can see a growing number of the U.S. companies at the Georgian market. Today, we should discuss a plan of investing even larger number of funds into this country. I believe that Georgian market is developing very intensively, and the economic and trade relations between Georgia and the U.S. become more and more profound. To achieve this result, we have worked for several years and we'll continue to work in this area in the future", said John Bass at the conference.
