Dzugayev: Kokoity could become leader of unification of two Ossetias
State Adviser to the President of South Ossetia Costa Dzugayev believes that the current head of the republic Eduard Kokoity may lead the common over-territorial political space of South and North Ossetia.
According to "Echo of Caucasus", Dzugayev, talking about the possibility of unification of North and South Ossetia within Russia, said that at first the two republics can confine to signing of a special cooperation agreement which does not imply deprivation of independence of South Ossetia. "Of course, we want to breathe enough the air of sovereignty of South Ossetia, a prosperous independent state. But understanding the need for unity of the people, overcoming of division of our people can not be postponed indefinitely. Therefore, we hope that soon an agreement on special relations of South Ossetia with North Ossetia will be signed. This agreement will expand the legal-political corridor in relations between two Ossetias", he said.
According to Dzugayev, current president of South Ossetia, Eduard Kokoity, who could not run for the presidential elections because of the constitutional prohibition, could become leader of such unification.
"Nothing is impossible. He is young, energetic, experienced", said Dzugayev.
