The ILO researches Azerbaijani labor market
Specialists of the International Labour Organization (ILO) are going examine the Azerbaijani labor market more closely. For this purpose, as reported by Trend, the ILO is planning to hold a special survey in South Caucasus country in 2012. This was reported by Deputy Director of the ILO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia Alena Nesporova during a meeting with the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan Fizuli Alekperov.
"Until the end of this year, the ILO will present a package of proposals on Azerbaijan employment policy", the Ministry reported. Azerbaijan continues to expand its cooperation with the ILO on ensuring decent work, stated further in the document.
"During the past eight years the country has created 950,000 new jobs, the unemployment rate has fell to 5.5 percent, in particular youth unemployment rate is lower than in other countries", was emphasized in Ministry's statement.
